Alkmaar, 02 September 2016 – It was a very important day for goalkeeper Jasper Schendelaar. Not only did he turn 16 years, he also signed his first professional contract with AZ Alkmaar. The contract will keep him with AZ until mid 2019. Jasper transfered to Alkmaar in 2013 from the Foresters in Heiloo. He has developed himself rapidly and is considered a big talent, with only 15 years he made his debut, which makes him the youngest debutant in the history of AZ. He is also part of the national U17 squad.
Max Huiberts of AZ is very happy with signing Jasper; “He is a very talented goalkeeper from our own Academy. In addition, he is a true ‘Alkmaarder’, youth international and made his debut at only 15 in AZ1. This says a lot about his development. We except a lot from Jasper in the upcoming years.”
Muy Manero and Bert van Dun (agents) are proud of Jasper and would like to congratulate him with his contract and birthday!
